Tuesday 09 February 2021 – TAMAR VALLEY WINE TRAIL
11am – Pickup Launceston Airport or City Centre Hotel and transfer with our private vehicle and driver to the glorious Tamar Valley.
The Tasmanian Tamar Valley Wine Trail is one of the best in the world. Here there are 32 vineyards that makeup Tamar Valley Wineries, all ready for your appreciation or indulgence. Today we will visit 3-4 vineyards depending on time, you will try an amazing variety of award-winning cool climate wines, proudly made by the enthusiastic local winemakers. Here you will meet these wine makers and owners, and they love to talk. A glass of cool climate wine will enhance your eating pleasure as you feast on our delicious Tasmanian lunch options. Later we present a satisfying cheese platter to finish you off. *Lunch for own account

Wednesday 10 February 2021 – BAY OF FIRES
Leisurely breakfast at the hotel then we depart the hotel for the Spectacular Bay of Fires.
First stop Sharman’s Wines for a quick tasting before heading across country through beautiful farmlands and to the coast and onto our unique stay for the night.
The Bay of Fires Bush Retreat – At the Bay of Fires Bush Retreat salty hair and sandy feet are encouraged, preferred even. We offer relaxed, simple-yet-stylish communal accommodation – an enticing place to rest your head. The Retreat is only minutes’ drive from the stunning sights of the Bay of Fires and is the perfect base from which to explore this iconic area. The Retreat offers Bell Tent accommodation plus a Bunk House and King Room. All guests will have access to our beautiful hand-crafted amenities block only a short stroll from the accommodation areas – this is our chance to rough it in style…. We will relax this afternoon with a glass of wine in hand with a pre-arranged Tasmanian Produce Platters filled with delicious Tasmanian products. Sit back and relax.

Thursday 11 February 2021 – FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast served then we depart the retreat to explore the stunning beach of Bay of Fires including the Gardens. Famous for its crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches and orange lichen-covered granite boulders, the Bay of Fires is one of Tasmania’s most popular conservation reserves.
We drive down the coast towards the picturesque Freycinet National Park – with a stop at the Mount Elephant Pancake Barn for a snack (own account) There are few experiences in Tasmania which people say you just can’t afford to miss – this is one of the edible ones… then time at Devils Corner Winery for lunch (own account) before arriving in time for a sundowner on the deck at the luxurious Freycinet Lodge – our home for the next two nights.

Friday 12 February 2021 – WINEGLASS BAY – FREYCINET
After breakfast we depart on our Wineglass Bay Cruise. A 4½ hour cruise of the waterways surrounding Freycinet National Park from Coles Bay to Wineglass Bay on Tasmania’s East Coast. Be enthralled by the stunning granite coastline, including the dramatic pink peaks of the Hazards range. The waters surrounding Freycinet National Park are home to diverse and remarkable wildlife. Keep a look out for sea eagles, pods of dolphins surfing the bow wave and cormorants manning the crags of Schouten Passage plus Australian fur seals hauling out along the coast.
We have booked the Skylounge – (Adults only) The upper deck of Schouten Passage II. The adults only lounge with banquette style seating for up to 26 passengers provides an intimate experience, with direct access to the Captains bridge and private viewing deck. Included is Morning tea, lunch and beverages. Enjoy a smorgasbord of plump local oysters, alongside salmon and smoked meats, breads, cheeses and salad served with the East Coast’s renowned wines and artisan brews.
Return to Freycinet Lodge for an afternoon at leisure – perhaps a walk to the lighthouse, along the beach or just oysters and champagne on the deck.

Saturday 13 February 2021 – CRADLE MOUNTAIN
For those energetic enough – How about the Wineglass Bay walk for a spectacular view. A medium to tough walk about 30-45 minutes each way – it’s worth the effort. Return to the lodge for breakfast. We depart the lodge and travel inland with a stop at the famous Christmas Hill Raspberry Farm for lunch (own accounts) and a drive through Sheffield to view the murals before arriving at Cradle Mountain Hotel for overnight. This afternoon around 5pm we have included a Tasmania Devil Experience.

Sunday 14 February 2021 – CRADLE MOUNTAIN
For those wishing to partake in the Dove Lake Walk – you can depart after breakfast.
Location: Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park Length: 5.7-kilometre loop trail Grade: 2 (suitable for most on a flat, compact surface with one short moderate hill). Otherwise, time at leisure with time to visit the park for photos and snap shot of the area.
We will depart Cradle Mountain around lunchtime for a drive back to Hobart.

Monday 15 February 2021 – MONA MUSEUM and COAL RIVER VALLEY WINES
This morning we will depart for the Mona Museum for time at leisure to explore this amazing site. The Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) was built by David Walsh to house his collection of ancient, modern and contemporary art. Located on the banks of the Derwent a short ferry trip from Hobart, Mona is Australia’s largest private museum with three levels of underground galleries, which visitors explore with custom-built, handheld technology, called the O, that tells them about the artworks on display. Mona is also home to two wineries and a brewery.
We will then continue onto Pooleys Vineyard for lunch (own account) and then a stop into Puddleduck for a tasting. For those leaving us today we will drop you at the airport in the late afternoon for your flight out.
